Welcome to a Study of Jesus Christ.
This course is designed for those just starting  (D1) to figure out who Jesus is, what makes him so influential in world history. But most importantly, why do so many people base their entire lives on him.

It is also designed to help those who have decided to follow Jesus' teachings ("try Jesus") and those who have placed trust, faith, in Jesus to be the master of their life (Lord) and to give them a relationship with God by removing the guilt of their sins (forgiveness and salvation). (D2)

It is also for those who are further along in the disiple's walk with Jesus Christ. (D3) You will learn the questions seekers have, the arguments of others against Christian beliefs, and how to respond intelligently, Biblically and lovingly.

Whose Jesus?                                                                       C

It seems there must have been a bunch of Jesus' running around Israel 2000 years ago.  You have the Christian Jesus, agreed upon by Catholics, Eastern Orthodox and Protestants. Then you have the Jesus of Islam, the Jehovah's Witnesses, the Mormons, various other cults, the Masons, Pagans. Then modern "scholars" quoted by the major media outlets have figured out another Jesus.

No, they all are talking about the same person.  Jesus must have been an important person. 2,000 years later people are still arguing about who he is.  In fact, if you want to start a religion just make up an interpretation of Jesus and you're good to go.
 
Whose Jesus should we believe in?
Surely it should be the one of the Gospels. These accounts are from eyewitnesses, not interpretations of people removed in time and cultural understanding.

Prerequisites: Intro to  God. Intro to the Bible.
This page assumes you believe there is one God and that the Bible is a reliable source of truth. If you don't please either study those topics first or study this material knowing that we have made that assumption.

One good way to find out what you believe is to be challenged by the ideas of others. The Jehovah's Witnesses strongly disagree with the Christian view of Jesus. Listen to how a Christian can use the Bible to figure out whose Jesus is the Biblical Jesus.
